This support includes access to:
 
(1) A named RGN-qualified Patient Co-ordinator

(2) Pharmacy staff responsive to technical queries about the drugs supplied

(3) Our 24-hour/365 day per year nurse-led patient help line

(4) Integrated services with local pharmacies within the Boots group i.e. patients can choose to pick up their therapies from their local Boots store and choose whether to receive local patient support services

(5) Full audit trails including batch traceability of all drugs throughout the supply chain

Our co-ordinators are extensively trained to listen both actively and sympathetically to patients who may be experiencing a highly emotional period of their lives and are knowledgeable about potential complications of treatment.

Discretion is always used when contacting patients and confidentiality is assured at all times.

Patient Information Packs are supplied to each patient; these contain details of our service together with contact information.

Deliveries are made promptly to any address in the UK and are followed up with a call from the Patient Co-ordinators to check that patients fully understand their therapy requirements.

Patient Co-ordinators will discuss information about the drugs supplied and their storage requirements with each individual patient.

Patients may benefit from this service whether their Consultant works in the private or NHS sectors.
