Central Homecare has been providing a home endocrinology service on behalf of Pfizer Limited for many years via the provision of their growth hormone Genotropin® somatotropin(rbe).
The service provides everything the patient needs to safely administer Genotropin® at home, including all the consumable items required. Clinical waste collection to meet current UK legislation is an integral part of this service.
Patients can enjoy the freedom of managing their therapy from the comfort of their own homes and enjoy:

The service is available to both hospital patients as well as those being prescribed Genotropin® by their GP.

Genotropin® is available in either cartridges (5.3mg and 12mg) or MiniQuicks (0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8, 1.0, 1.2, 1.4, 1.6, 1.8 and 2.0mg options). Please note that Genotropin® MiniQuicks can be stored at room temperature making them a valuable option to consider for patients with limited access to a fridge (e.g. those about to embark on holiday).

SOMAVERT® (pegvisomant)
Central Homecare is now the supplier of Somavert® to both hospitals and patients at home, on behalf of Pfizer Limited.
Somavert® is used for the treatment of acromegaly, a hormonal disorder resulting from the increased secretion of growth hormone (GH) and IGF-I (Insulin-like growth factors), which is characterised by overgrowth of bone, soft tissue swelling, heart disease and related disorders.
