We will provide your patients and healthcare professionals with training on our service and your chosen drug infusion system (mechanical or electronic)
We will establish your patients’ equipment requirements (e.g. fridge, drip stand, trolley etc). Consumable items will be hand-picked to meet hospital protocol requirements and packaged to cover a prescribed course of treatment
Where appropriate, patients will be provided with fridges (including a maximum / minimum thermometer) in which to store their medication. When required, dressing trolleys and drip stands can also be provided
You and your patients will have a named RGN-qualified co-ordinator who is trained to deal with all aspects of our service. The co-ordinator will contact the patient at regular intervals throughout their course of treatment and any issues will be recorded and fed back to relevant healthcare professionals, where appropriate.
You will have access to our pharmacy staff concerning technical queries regarding drugs supplied
Patient issues will be monitored, recorded and fed back to relevant healthcare professionals (where appropriate)
A 24-hour telephone support line is available to you and your patients 365 days a year
Nursing support can be provided where required
We maintain comprehensive audit trails of all the services we provide, together with full indemnity insurance
Our service aims to integrate all aspects of home care provision and involves ongoing liaison and co-ordination with the multi-disciplinary team comprising hospital, primary care and PCT.

Central Homecare offers value for money We fully recognise the cost constraints imposed upon the Health Service and by utilising only those services you need to design your home care packages, you can ensure that your budgetary requirements are met. By using our drug compounding service you can ensure that drug wastage is minimised and shelf life maximised. Similarly, our comprehensive range of infusion systems allows you to match a device to both your requirements and budget. At your request, we can provide you with quotations based upon £ per dose, £ per course or £ per therapy day requirements. We will only charge you for those elements of the service that you use.
Starting patients on home care If you wish to set up a flexible home care service for your patients, we will be happy to work with you to formulate an appropriate package that complements your resources and meets your budgetary requirements To establish a patient on our service, the doctor simply completes our Prescription Requirements Form (which we will supply). This is then faxed to us and the original forwarded in a reply-paid envelope. Please allow 24-36 hours notice (dependent upon service requirements)
Your named co-ordinator will contact the patient, explain the service details and agree delivery schedules; these are flexible to meet patient requirements. Deliveries are always discreet and confidential
We will liaise and co-ordinate with the primary care team as required
The co-ordinator will contact the patient at regular intervals throughout their course of treatment
We will submit clear and comprehensive invoices and can also provide financial and service reports upon request
